Responsibilities

Position Overview

Substitute teachers serve on a per-day, as-needed basis, providing classroom instruction and student supervision when a regularly assigned teacher is absent. Substitutes follow provided lesson plans and help maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Follow provided lesson plans and classroom procedures.
Provide instruction and supervise students throughout the school day.
Maintain classroom routines and appropriate student behavior.
Take attendance and complete required classroom records.
Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
Assist with other student supervision duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must successfully complete required background screening and substance screening.
Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively with students.
