At Burns, we are fortunate to have families who go above and beyond to make sure every child feels supported, seen, and celebrated. We’re proud to spotlight Sara and Chris Coyle, two incredible volunteers whose kindness and dedication are truly making a difference.
Sara and Chris have been unwavering supporters of Mrs. Alwynn’s 2nd-grade class. Whether it’s classroom parties, field trips, or special projects, the Coyles are always the first to offer financial support or commit time for every event, making each experience special and memorable for our students.

But their support doesn’t stop there. When they noticed that their son wasn’t able to attend LEGO Club each week due to a lack of volunteers, they didn’t just voice a concern, they took action. The next week, they showed up with a bucket of LEGOs and hearts ready to help. Since then, they’ve consistently volunteered their time to ensure not only their child but every student who wants to attend LEGO Club has the chance to participate.
This kind of generosity and commitment reflects the very best of our Burns community. The Coyles are a blessing to our school; they show up, step in, and lift others up in the process. Their actions speak volumes: when families get involved, everyone wins.

As we prepare for the next school year, we want to remind our families of our updated volunteer policy. Starting next year, all families will be expected to complete a set number of volunteer hours. This can be fulfilled in a variety of ways, from supporting classroom activities to helping with clubs, joining school events, or contributing time to our Booster Club and other school initiatives.
The Coyles are a perfect example of how volunteering doesn't just meet a requirement, it builds community, creates joy, and leaves a lasting impact on every student.

Thank you again to the Coyle family, we appreciate all that you do!
