At Burns Sci-Tech, our volunteers are more than helpers—they are the heart of our school. Few families represent that heart more fully than Jamie and Shawn Sulle. Their generosity, dedication, and involvement have touched nearly every corner of campus, and their impact is felt by students, staff, and families alike.

Leaders On and Off the Court: Jamie has gone above and beyond by stepping in as a coed volleyball coach, helping to build not only athletic skills but confidence, teamwork, and school pride in our student-athletes. Her leadership and encouragement have made a lasting impression on the players she’s guided.
Creative Powerhouses Behind the Curtain: Together, Jamie and Shawn have built stunning props and set pieces for productions like Into the Woods Jr. and Beauty and the Beast, turning our stage into a true theatrical experience for students and families. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail help bring student performances to life in magical ways.

School Spirit in the Stands: The Sulles are also a constant presence at sporting and special events, running the concession stand with a smile and creating a warm, welcoming environment that brings our school community together. They help ensure every game feels special, not just for the players, but for the fans and families, too.
Community Builders: Jamie’s leadership extends beyond volunteering. She’s served as president of the Booster Club and is now the newest member of our School Board, where her voice and passion will continue to help shape the direction of our school.
The Sulle Legacy
Jamie and Shawn are the kind of volunteers every school dreams of—steadfast, humble, hardworking, and always ready to roll up their sleeves to help. They don’t seek the spotlight, but their impact is undeniable. They are deeply woven into the fabric of our school, and Burns would not be the same without them.
Looking Ahead: Our New Volunteer Program
As we look to the 2025–2026 school year, we hope to welcome even more families into our volunteer community with a new and improved volunteer program that makes getting involved easier and more meaningful.
Program Highlights:
On-campus, off-campus, and at-home opportunities
Leadership roles for those wanting to make a bigger impact
Easy hour tracking through Google Forms
Recognition and celebration of top contributors
Suggested Hours:
1 student = 20 hours/year
2+ students = 30 hours/year
Single parents = 10 hours/year
Why It Matters:
Burns Sci-Tech receives $2,400 less per student than traditional public schools. That’s over $2.6 million annually—a gap that volunteers help us bridge every single day. When you volunteer, you're not just giving your time. You're fueling opportunity, passion, and excellence in our students.
We are forever grateful to the Sulles—and to all of our dedicated volunteers—who help make Burns Sci-Tech the amazing place it is.
💙 Let’s continue to grow together. Our new volunteer program launches in August 2025. Stay tuned and be part of something extraordinary.
