About Dr. Michael Somai

Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Port Orange, Florida, Dr. Michael Somai’s journey toward dentistry began at Spruce Creek High School, where he attended the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. His early passion for art and ceramics revealed his natural dexterity, a skill that would later translate seamlessly into the precision and artistry required in dentistry.

Dr. Somai went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Central Florida (UCF), followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine.

He is certified through the AlignTech Institute to provide Invisalign (Removable Orthodontic Appliances) and is also trained in Perio Protect, a customized, minimally invasive approach to managing gum disease and maintaining long-term oral health. In addition, Dr. Somai has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education and hands-on training in dental implant surgery and restorations, including advanced coursework from Implant Seminars and the Implant Dentistry Continuum.

Dr. Somai’s commitment to lifelong learning ensures that his patients benefit from the latest advancements in dental technology and treatment. He is known not only for his technical expertise but also for his kindness, humor, and ability to put patients at ease.
