Mr. Carignan’s Outdoor Adventure Club recently spent a beautiful day out on the water at Riverbreeze Park, creating memories and making impressive catches! The trip was a perfect blend of adventure, teamwork, and excitement, showing once again how learning can extend far beyond the classroom.
The spotlight moments of the day included a massive 30" Black Drum caught by Ryan—earning him bragging rights for big fish of the day—and a milestone moment for Xander, who landed his first fish ever, an impressive 27" Black Drum. The cheers and high-fives said it all—this was a day these students won’t soon forget.

In addition to the fishing fun, the group had the incredible opportunity to see manatees in the wild, a rare and special experience that added to the magic of the day. The students also had time to explore and enjoy the beauty of Riverbreeze Park together, making it a well-rounded outdoor adventure that highlighted the importance of connecting with nature.
These meetups aren’t just about fishing. They’re about building confidence, connecting with the environment, and sharing experiences that strengthen friendships and school spirit. The joy and pride on the students’ faces said everything about what the Outdoor Adventure Club is all about.
A special thank you goes out to Mr. Carignan for leading the group with passion and purpose, his great friend Ian Jones for helping out, and his wonderful wife, Coach Carignan, for her continued support. Days like these are possible because of dedicated people who believe in giving students unique, hands-on opportunities.
Here’s to more adventures ahead, more fish tales to tell, and more memories to make with the Outdoor Adventure Club!
