At Burns Sci-Tech, we know that athletics are an important part of a well-rounded student experience. Sports foster teamwork, discipline, school pride, and personal growth. Behind every strong athletics program is a group of dedicated individuals who help make it all possible, the Booster Club.
We are excited to rebuild our BST Booster Club, and we’re looking for committed volunteers to take on key leadership roles. BST Booster is already set up as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All it needs now is the right team to bring it back and help our student-athletes thrive.
We are currently seeking candidates for the following officer positions:
President
Leads the Booster Club and oversees all operations
Coordinates meetings and sets the agenda
Acts as the main point of contact with the school administration and athletic staff
Provides leadership and vision for fundraising and support efforts
Vice President
Assists the President in all duties
Steps in when the President is unavailable
May lead specific events or initiatives
Helps coordinate volunteers and ensure the smooth operation of activities
Treasurer
Manages all financial matters for the Booster Club
Maintains accurate records of income, expenses, and budgets
Ensures compliance with nonprofit financial guidelines
Provides regular financial reports to the board and members
Secretary
Keeps detailed and accurate minutes from all meetings
Manages communication and documentation for the club
Helps maintain organized records and meeting schedules
Distributes agendas, meeting notices, and updates to members
The Importance of the Booster Club
The Booster Club is a vital part of supporting Burns athletics. With the right leadership in place, the club can raise funds to cover expenses such as:
Athletic equipment and uniforms
Facility improvements
Tournament fees and travel expenses
Team celebrations and awards
Spirit items and community events
Fundraising, sponsorships, and community partnerships organized by the Booster Club help provide the extras that elevate our athletic programs and create a stronger school community.
A Great Way to Fulfill Volunteer Hours
With the launch of our new volunteer program, families will have more opportunities than ever to contribute to the school in meaningful ways. Participation in the Booster Club, whether in a leadership role or as a supporting member, counts toward your family’s volunteer hours. From helping with concessions and fundraising events to attending meetings and coordinating activities, there are plenty of ways to get involved and meet your hours with purpose and impact.
We Need You
Whether you have experience leading a nonprofit or are simply passionate about supporting student-athletes, there’s a place for you on this team. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on our school, our sports programs, and the students who benefit from them.
If you’re interested in learning more or would like to nominate yourself or someone else for a position, please contact Communications@burnsscitech.org
