We are proud to share that Futures Foundation for Volusia County Schools recently awarded Mr. Z a $6,000 grant to support the purchase of robotic arms for our STEM Lab, a valuable addition that will enhance hands-on learning and give students real experience with advanced robotics technology.
The Futures Foundation has been a long-standing partner of Volusia County Schools since its founding in 1985. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) direct support organization, its mission is to engage business, civic, and community leaders to promote and achieve excellence in education across all public schools in Volusia County. The Foundation supports innovative programs, resources, scholarships, recognition initiatives, and classroom grants that go beyond the regular funding schools receive, helping students, teachers, and staff thrive.
Today, we were honored to welcome two representatives from the Futures Foundation, Ms. Shepard and Ms. Parks, to visit our campus and see the exciting technology and projects students are working on in the STEM Lab. During their visit, four of our students demonstrated how they program and operate the robotic arms, showed them how to run the magnetic robots, and explained how they design and create 3D-printed items. Our guests even got to try out the roller-coaster simulator, and our students showed them how to code the robotic arm, a true example of student leadership and innovation in action.

We are incredibly appriciative for opportunities like this grant, which help us expand our STEM offerings and prepare students for future careers in robotics, engineering, and technology. As a school of choice, these partnerships are essential in helping us provide unique and impactful learning experiences that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.
We are deeply grateful to the Futures Foundation, Ms. Shepard, and Ms. Parks, as well as all those who help support our mission. Their partnership allows our STEM Lab to thrive, giving students the tools and opportunities to explore, innovate, and create. We can’t wait to see our lab continue to grow and watch our students push the boundaries of creativity and achievement even further.
