Burns Sci Tech Summer Camps Are Off to a Great Start

Summer is in full swing at Burns Sci Tech, and our campus is alive with activity. From sports to creative arts to STEM, our camps are designed to engage students, build skills, and create lasting memories. Here’s a look at what has already taken place and what’s still to come.

Beach Volleyball Camp Kicks Things Off

Last week, we launched our summer camp season with Beach Volleyball at the 30th Street beach court. Led by Coach Carignan, the camp welcomed 25 students who learned basic skills and had a great time playing in the sand. It was a fun and energetic start to the summer.


Indoor Volleyball Builds Skills and Teamwork

This week, students transitioned from sand to court for Indoor Volleyball Camp, which concludes on Wednesday. Twenty students participated under the guidance of Coach Latham, Coach Mekayla, and Coach Stokes. The focus was on skill development, teamwork, and building confidence on the court.


Archery Camp is Next

On Thursday and Friday of this week (6/12 & 6/13), we will offer Archery Camp for students entering grades 5 through 12. Led by Coach Carignan, this camp introduces students to the fundamentals of archery in a safe and encouraging environment. It's a great opportunity to try something new and develop focus and discipline. This camp is limited.


Basketball Camp Begins June 17

Basketball Camp with Coach Marbra begins next week and includes sessions throughout the summer on June 17, 21, 24, 28, July 1, 8, 12, 15, 19, and 22.


  • Grades 3 through 5 will meet from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m.

  • Grades 6 through 12 will meet from 9:45 to 11:15 a.m.


Students will build foundational skills, improve their game, and enjoy time with peers in a supportive environment. Sign up today!


Crochet Camp Returns in July

Crochet Camp is back for a second year with Mrs. Brannen and remains one of our popular offerings. Sessions are limited to 25 students each and fill up quickly.


  • The first session, for students entering grades 7 through 12, runs from July 7 to 10.

  • The second session, for grades 3 through 6, runs from July 14 to 17. Camp meets from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and provides a chance to learn a new skill in a creative and relaxed setting.


Variety Camp Offers Weekly Fun in July

In July, our Variety Camp will run over three separate weeks: July 7-10, July 14-17, and July 21-24. Camp hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and it is open to students entering grades 5 through 12. Each week features a mix of activities, including crafts, STEM projects, and activities based on the interests of our teachers. Breakfast and lunch are included.
