Building Skills and Confidence: Burns Hosts First Youth Soccer Skills Clinic

Burns Sci-Tech recently hosted its first Youth Soccer Skills Clinic, welcoming an incredible 52 students for a day filled with energy, learning, and a love for the game.
The clinic was open to students in grades K–3 and 4–6, and designed for players of all skill levels. Whether students were stepping onto the field for the first time or continuing to grow their abilities, the focus of the day was clear: to develop skills, build confidence, and foster a lasting passion for soccer.
Led by Coach G and his team, the clinic delivered exactly that. The field was full of smiles, sweat, and steady improvement as students worked through drills, practiced fundamentals, and learned the importance of teamwork and effort. From passing and footwork to game awareness, each participant had the opportunity to grow and challenge themselves in a supportive and encouraging environment.
In true Burns fashion, this event was a full community effort. A special highlight of the day was the involvement of our Men’s Varsity Soccer players, who stepped in to mentor, support, and train the next generation of Burns athletes. Their leadership, encouragement, and willingness to give back made a lasting impression on the younger players and truly elevated the experience.
