Earlier this month, 21 students from BST — 7 high school students and 14 middle school students traveled to Jacksonville, FL, to compete in the SeaPerch Regional Competition. SeaPerch is a hands-on, highly competitive event where students design, build, and operate their own underwater robots. From start to finish, teams must think creatively and engineer their robots to navigate obstacle courses and complete technical challenges — all while underwater!

The competition was extremely tough, featuring strong teams from across the region. Despite the challenges, our students rose to the occasion and showed impressive teamwork, problem-solving, and engineering skills. We're proud to share that one of our four middle school teams earned 3rd place in their division! In the high school division, both our Open Class and Stock Class teams also each earned a 3rd place finish — an incredible accomplishment against such skilled competition.

Even more exciting, due to the first and second place winners in the high school Stock Class already having earned invitations to the International SeaPerch Challenge, the final qualifying spot was offered to our very own BST Stock Class team!

A huge congratulations to Ryleigh D., Noah D., Aiden P., and Jonah R. — their outstanding performance has earned them a spot at the International SeaPerch Competition, which will be held at the University of Maryland at the end of May. We are so proud of their hard work and can't wait to cheer them on as they represent BST on the international stage!

Way to go, students — you continue to impress and inspire!
