We are thrilled to share that this year marked a record-breaking moment for our BST 4-H program, with more students than ever before showing animals at the fair! Our students worked hard preparing their projects, and their dedication truly paid off as they proudly represented our school and club.
Zoey Boyd showcased her quail, Harper Charette presented her rabbit, and Willow Moore showed a lamb, each demonstrating responsibility, confidence, and a strong understanding of animal care. Their efforts reflect the heart of 4-H: learning by doing and growing through hands-on experiences.
In addition to showing animals, our 4-H club took a field trip to the fair, where students toured both the large and small animal barns and explored the exhibits. This experience allowed students to see a wide variety of agricultural projects up close, ask questions, and learn more about the many opportunities available through 4-H and the fair.
We are also proud to announce that our school’s 4-H booth earned the Best 4-H Promotional Ribbon, bringing home a $50 prize that will be reinvested directly into our club. This recognition highlights our students’ creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm in promoting 4-H to the community.

Looking ahead, we’re excited about what’s next for our growing program. Thanks to a Farm Bureau Small Grant, we will be building a school chicken coop behind the 2/3 building after Christmas break. This 4-H-maintained coop will provide even more students with the opportunity to participate in poultry projects and eventually exhibit their animals at the fair.
Adding to the excitement, Scarlett and Willow Moore will be taking their poultry projects even further by entering them in the Florida State Fair in February, an incredible opportunity and a testament to their hard work and commitment.
We are so proud of our 4-H students and grateful for the support that continues to help our program grow. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!
