Alumni Spotlight: Peyton Glugover, Class of 2023

We are proud to shine the Alumni Spotlight on Peyton Glugover, a 2023 graduate who continues to exemplify excellence, leadership, and innovation as he enters his junior year at Elon University in North Carolina.

Peyton is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, with minors in Mathematics and German Studies. His dedication and academic achievements earned him a place in Elon’s prestigious Engineering Fellows Program, a selective, merit-based track designed for top-performing students who are passionate about solving real-world problems through design, prototyping, and collaboration.

As an Engineering Fellow, Peyton is immersed in experiential learning opportunities that go beyond the classroom. He works on complex challenges inspired by the National Academy of Engineering’s Grand Challenges, focusing on multidisciplinary solutions that consider cultural sensitivity, business applications, and global perspectives. He was awarded a scholarship for his participation in this highly competitive program.

Outside the lab, Peyton has made an impact on campus life. He is a proud member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity, where he’s taken part in numerous service and philanthropic events. One highlight has been his participation in Big Man on Campus (BMOC), a spirited Greek dance competition hosted by Zeta Tau Alpha that raises awareness and funds for breast cancer research.

In addition to his academic and extracurricular commitments, Peyton serves as a Residential Advisor, helping to create a supportive and inclusive environment for his fellow students.

Looking ahead, Peyton plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with a goal of contributing to the future of electric vehicle technology or computer hardware advancement.

Peyton’s journey reflects the values we strive to instill in all our students: curiosity, commitment, and a drive to make meaningful contributions to the world. We’re proud of everything he has accomplished and can’t wait to see where his path leads next.
