Big things are happening at Burns Sci Tech this summer, starting with a complete transformation of Mr. Z’s room, our dedicated IT Lab, and special area for K–6 students. This isn’t just a refresh. It’s a full renovation designed to bring our technology program to the next level.

Every inch of the classroom is being reimagined to better serve the needs of our youngest innovators. From modern flooring and updated workstations to reconfigured learning zones, the new design will support collaboration, creativity, and curiosity. This room will be where early learners get their first hands-on experiences with real-world tech tools.

What’s new?

We are introducing robotic arms and 3D printers, offering students early exposure to tools and technology that are shaping the future. These aren’t just fun gadgets; they provide real opportunities for students to build problem-solving skills, think critically, and gain confidence using technology in creative ways. And that’s not all. There are more upgrades on the way that will continue to expand what’s possible in this area. The goal is to give our students a strong foundation in digital literacy and innovation, starting from their earliest years in school.

This room isn’t just about computers. It’s a launchpad for imagination, innovation, and future-ready skills. We can’t wait to unveil the final results and watch our students explore all the possibilities in this reimagined space.

Stay tuned for updates and behind-the-scenes looks as the makeover continues. This is just one more way we’re investing in tomorrow’s thinkers today.
