Before heading into break, Burns Sci-Tech students and families gathered to celebrate creativity at our Art Show, made possible through the dedication and talent of Mrs. Zahn, Mrs. Goetz, Mr. Leve, and Mr. Z. This special evening marked the first art show at Burns Sci-Tech in five years, and it was wonderful to once again welcome our community together to celebrate the arts. The event was a true showcase of artistic expression, innovation, and student voice across multiple grade levels and disciplines.

Artwork from 1st, 3rd, and 6th grade students taught by Mrs. Goetz, along with impressive pieces from grades 7–12 under Mrs. Zahn, filled the space with color, imagination, and thoughtful design. Students explored a wide variety of artistic mediums, allowing visitors to experience everything from detailed drawings and paintings to mixed-media creations and striking glass pieces. Each work reflected not only technical skill but also creativity, personal expression, and growth.

One standout feature of the evening was Mr. Z’s robotic arm, which drew self-portraits live during the show. This unique blend of art and technology perfectly captured the spirit of Burns Sci-Tech, demonstrating how creativity and innovation go hand in hand. Watching art come to life through engineering and programming left a lasting impression on students and visitors alike.

Adding to the atmosphere, live music performances by students from Mr. Leve’s classes filled the space throughout the evening. The performances highlighted the wide range of musical talent within our school, creating the perfect backdrop for an evening centered on the arts. From instrumental pieces to ensemble performances, students performed with confidence and passion, rounding out the experience beautifully.

The return of the Art Show was a powerful reminder of the creativity, talent, and dedication of our students and staff. We are thrilled to have this tradition back and are already looking forward to the next opportunity to showcase our students’ incredible work. Thank you to Mrs. Zahn, Mrs. Goetz, Mr. Leve, and Mr. Z for making this long-awaited event such a success and for helping the arts continue to thrive at Burns Sci-Tech.
