The Burns Sci-Tech Theater and Dance Departments transported audiences to a world of imagination, whimsy, and wonder with their recent production of Alice in Wonderland Jr.

Under the direction of Ms. Lee, with Music Director Mr. Leve and Eaglets and dance Choreographer Miss Belle Lee, our students once again took the stage and truly shined, bringing this beloved story to life in unforgettable ways.

From the moment Alice tumbled down the rabbit hole, the audience was swept into Wonderland, a place filled with curious characters, vibrant scenes, and a sense of magic that could be felt throughout every performance. Lex Henz delivered a captivating performance as Alice, guiding the audience through her journey with curiosity and heart. Nik Chapdelaine’s portrayal of the Queen of Hearts was nothing short of commanding, striking just the right amount of fear and excitement into all who watched. Shalom Hawkins was a perfect White Rabbit, keeping the pace lively and engaging as the story unfolded.

Adding humor and charm to the production, Chris Barth and Cody Capps delighted audiences as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, bringing laughter with their playful and energetic performances. Every character on stage contributed to the magic, fully immersing the audience in the world of Wonderland.

Memorable moments filled each performance, from the chaotic and colorful tea party to the Queen’s dramatic courtroom scene. Each moment was brought to life with creativity, energy, and a clear love for the craft, leaving audiences entertained from beginning to end.

This production also marked the final performances for two of our seniors, Thorin Fairbanks (Ace of Spades) and Athena Weldon (Rose). Their contributions to our theater program have been meaningful and lasting, and while they will be greatly missed, we are excited to see them move on to new and exciting journeys. We will be cheering them on every step of the way.

Perhaps most impressive was the dedication and stamina of our cast and crew. These students performed four full shows in just two days, presenting daytime performances for K–6 students and 7–12 students, followed by evening performances for families and the community. Their energy, professionalism, and commitment to excellence never wavered, making each performance just as magical as the last.

A production of this scale would not be possible without the support of so many dedicated individuals. A heartfelt thank you to the Hartman Family, Kim Sexton, and the Sulle Family for their work in designing, creating, and gathering props that helped bring Wonderland to life. We are also grateful for our Eaglet Student Assistants Raegan Duncan, Sasha Jerrett, and Kaitlyn Opalenik, as well as our outstanding stage manager, Julia Sulle, whose leadership behind the scenes kept everything running smoothly.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our generous sponsors. Our Wonderland Level sponsors, Backyard Pool and Spa Repair, LLC, Kres Chophouse, and the Silverman Family, all played a vital role in supporting this production. In addition, we are incredibly thankful for the 32 businesses and families who sponsored at the White Rabbit Level. Your continued support makes opportunities like this possible for our students.

The Burns Sci-Tech Theater and Dance Departments continue to create experiences that inspire, entertain, and showcase the incredible talents of our students. Alice in Wonderland Jr. was truly a journey to remember, and we cannot wait to see what they bring to the stage next.
