This weekend, our school administrators had the privilege of joining forces with four incredible local churches at Winn-Dixie in New Smyrna. Edgewater Alliance Church, Relationship Alliance Church, Beachside Church, and Coastline Church partnered together with one mission in mind: to support the families in our community.

Thanks to their generosity, more than 25 boxes of food, turkey vouchers, gift cards, and perishable items were donated to our school’s food pantry. This support could not have come at a better time. As the needs of our families continue to grow, donations like these help our food drive reach even more households. It allows us to keep our shelves stocked, offer a wider variety of items, and ensure that no student goes home worried about their next meal.

What made the day even more meaningful was seeing some of our own students volunteering alongside our dedicated staff. Watching our kids lift boxes, organize donations, sort perishable items, and work with community members showed how valuable it is for them to participate in service. These experiences teach compassion, responsibility, gratitude, and the importance of helping others. They give our students a chance to see the power of kindness in action.

We want to give a huge and heartfelt thank you to Edgewater Alliance Church, Relationship Alliance Church, Beachside Church, and Coastline Church. Your kindness, generosity, and commitment to our families mean more than words can express. We are truly grateful for your partnership and the love and support you continue to show our school community.

It was inspiring to see churches, families, students, and staff working together. When local partners unite, the impact reaches far beyond a single event. It strengthens our community, builds connections, and shows our students that they can make a real difference.

Because of this collaboration, many families will feel more supported and more hopeful. This is what community looks like, and we are proud and grateful to be a part of it.
