We are so proud to celebrate one of our incredible students, Quinn T., a third grader who recently represented Burns Sci-Tech with poise, confidence, and heart at the City of Oak Hill’s most recent meeting.
Quinn was invited to deliver a presentation on civil rights—an important and powerful topic that she approached with great care and maturity well beyond her years. Speaking to city officials, community members, and guests, Quinn captivated the entire room. Her clear voice, thoughtful words, and meaningful message left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
This opportunity came as part of a special challenge presented by the Mayor of Oak Hill, and thanks to her outstanding effort, Quinn has earned a sweet reward—ice cream with the mayor!

Behind her incredible performance was the support of her teacher, Mrs. Ferris, as well as the school administration and her loving family. With their encouragement and guidance, Quinn stepped into the spotlight and delivered a message that truly resonated.
It takes courage to speak in front of an audience, especially at such a young age, but Quinn embraced the opportunity and delivered her presentation with grace. Her passion for learning and her ability to communicate such a significant topic is a testament to her character and the supportive environment that helps students grow into confident leaders.
We are so proud of Quinn and the example she set for her peers. She reminded us all that no matter your age, your voice matters—and when you speak from the heart, people listen.
Thank you, Quinn, for representing our school with excellence. We can’t wait to see what you do next!
