This week’s highly anticipated Teachers/Staff vs. 6th Grade Kickball Game brought excitement, laughter, competition, and plenty of bragging rights to campus!

The 6th grade students entered the game full of confidence and ready to prove they could take down the teachers and staff. There was plenty of trash talk leading up to game day, and the students were convinced they would claim victory.

What they may not have realized, however, was that the teachers and staff had other plans.

With their unofficial team name “No Mercy,” given by Coach Carrignan, the staff came ready to compete, and they did not hold back. Battling through the heat, the game quickly turned into an unforgettable showdown filled with big kicks, incredible catches, aggressive base running, and nonstop laughter from students and spectators watching from the sidelines.

The game started off evenly, with both teams quickly making defensive plays and recording outs early on. The 6th graders came in energized and confident, ready to challenge the teachers and staff in what looked like it might become a very close matchup. However, after the opening innings, the staff began to hit their stride and slowly took control of the game.

The teachers and staff played with determination, teamwork, and just enough competitive spirit to remind the students that experience still matters. Smart plays and a strong defense helped “No Mercy” build momentum throughout the game. While the 6th graders continued to fight hard and keep their energy high, the staff proved to be too much to handle as the game progressed.

When the dust settled, the final score told the story:

🏆 Teachers & Staff (“No Mercy”) — 11😅 6th Grade — 0

While the students may not have walked away with the victory, they definitely walked away with memories they will be talking about for years to come. Events like this are always a favorite because they bring students and staff together outside of the classroom, creating moments filled with school spirit, laughter, connection, and community.

Of course, with a win this dominant, the teachers have officially secured full bragging rights until next year. However, the current 5th grade class was watching closely from the sidelines, and we will have to see if they learned enough to take down “No Mercy” when they become next year’s 6th grade team.

Until then, the “No Mercy” dynasty lives on.
