As graduation approaches this Saturday, the Burns Sci Tech community took time last week to celebrate two of the most emotional and meaningful traditions of the senior year, the Legacy Walk and Boo Hoo Breakfast.
Last Wednesday marked the seniors’ final day on campus as high school students, a milestone filled with reflection, excitement, and anticipation for what lies ahead. Then on Friday morning, the Class of 2026 returned one more time for a tradition that has become one of the most cherished moments of senior year.
Dressed in their caps and gowns, the seniors gathered together before beginning the Legacy Walk through the halls they have called home for so many years. The walk began in the high school halls before continuing through the 7th-grade hallway and eventually out toward the eagerly awaiting kindergarten students and the rest of the campus community.
As the seniors made their way through each building, students from every grade level lined the halls, cheering, clapping, waving signs, and celebrating the accomplishments of the Class of 2026. For many of the younger students, it was an inspiring glimpse into the future and a reminder of what is possible through hard work, growth, and perseverance.

The Legacy Walk is more than just a procession through campus. It is a full-circle moment. Many of these seniors once stood in those same elementary hallways looking up to graduating students, and now they have become the role models younger students admire.
After completing the walk-through campus, the seniors made their way back to the gym, where their families were waiting for the annual Boo Hoo Breakfast.
The gym had been beautifully transformed into a banquet-style celebration space complete with decorations, photo stations, and special touches that made the morning feel both festive and meaningful. The lobby was filled with an incredible breakfast spread, including waffle bowls with fruit, chocolate, and marshmallows, French toast sticks, pastries, and many other treats prepared by dedicated families and volunteers.
Students were also presented with their senior swag bags filled with gifts and donated items from families and community business partners who helped make the event extra special. Seniors also received their Class of 2026 shirts, generously sponsored by Brian Griffin with The Griffin Difference Realty.
Throughout the breakfast, teachers, staff members, parents, and students took the stage to share memories, encouragement, wisdom, and congratulations with the graduating class. There were moments of laughter, reflection, and emotion as everyone took time to celebrate not only the accomplishments of these students but also the relationships and memories built along the way.

The morning served as a powerful reminder that Burns Sci Tech is more than just a school; it is a family and community that continues to support students long after they walk across the graduation stage.
As the Class of 2026 prepares to leave our halls and begin their next chapter, one thing remains certain: they will always have a home here at Burns Sci Tech. Our doors will always remain open for future visits, celebrations, milestones, and moments when support is needed.
We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and cannot wait to see just how high they soar as they continue aiming for their goals and building their futures.
