A Boatload of Support: Boston Whaler Gives Back to Burns Sci-Tech

At Burns Sci-Tech, we are incredibly fortunate to have local businesses that continue to invest in our students and believe in the importance of education. One of those valued community partners is Boston Whaler.
Each year, Boston Whaler generously provides Burns Sci-Tech with a “boatload” of school supplies to help support our students, teachers, and classrooms. This annual donation has become a wonderful example of what it means to be a community partner.
This year’s donation included crayons, glue sticks, scissors, dry-erase markers and boards, spiral notebooks, pencils, erasers, folders, pencil pouches, disinfecting wipes, headphones, and other classroom essentials. These supplies will be distributed throughout our campus to help meet classroom needs and support learning across our school.
A Local Company with a Legendary History
For more than 60 years, Boston Whaler has been known for building high-quality boats and earning its reputation as “The Unsinkable Legend.” Founded in 1958, the company is headquartered right here in Edgewater, Florida, making Boston Whaler an important part of our local community.
Boston Whaler's story is built on innovation, craftsmanship, safety, and a commitment to excellence. Those same qualities make their investment in education especially meaningful. The company has also demonstrated its commitment to the local community through previous charitable giving, including a 2019 donation to Burns Sci-Tech and the Edgewater Animal Shelter.

A donation like this may seem simple, but classroom supplies make a meaningful difference. When teachers have the materials they need, students are better equipped to learn, create, collaborate, and engage in the classroom.
Boston Whaler's donation is also a reminder of what can happen when schools and local businesses work together. Strong schools help build strong communities, and strong communities help create opportunities for students.
