What time is afternoon pick-up?

K–1 students with siblings in grades 2–6

What if I have more than one child in different grades?
Follow this general rule:
Pick up at the youngest child’s location, at the oldest child’s pick-up time.
Examples:

  • A family with a 1st grader and a 3rd grader should pick up both children at the White Building at 3:15 PM.

  • A family with a kindergartener and a 4th grader should pick up at the White Building at 3:20 PM.

  • A family with a 2nd grader and a 6th grader should pick up at the Office/Cafeteria at 3:30 PM.

What if I have children in both K–6 and 7–12?
Please follow this two-step process:

  1. Pick up your K–6 student(s) first at their designated location and time.

  2. Loop around to Ridge Road and proceed to the High School or Gymnasium for 7–12 pick-up.

Arrive for K–6 pick-up at the designated time based on grade level, then proceed to the 7–12 loop for the 3:45 PM pick-up.

What are the traffic rules on Ridge Road?
To ensure safety and efficiency:

  • Ridge Road is one-way during pick-up and drop-off hours.

  • No lane changes are permitted at the intersection of East Halifax Ave. and Ridge Road (enter in the correct lane).

  • Follow all speed limit and traffic signage.

  • Be aware of oncoming traffic when turning from East Halifax Avenue onto Ridge Rd.

  • Pull forward fully before loading or unloading students to help keep the line moving smoothly.
