As we begin a new school year, we want to thank our families for your continued cooperation with arrival and dismissal procedures. Our priority is student safety, and following the designated traffic routes is essential to keeping everyone safe and ensuring an efficient traffic flow during busy times.
Morning Drop-Off Times and Routes
Grades K–6: Drop-off begins at 7:40 AM (Please note: There is no morning care before this time.)
Grades 7–12: Drop-off begins at 7:30 AM
For morning drop-off, please follow the designated routes based on your student’s grade level and direction of travel to help ensure a smooth and safe arrival for all.
K–6 students coming from the north will turn left onto Lagoon Avenue, then right onto Gaines Street, right onto East Halifax Avenue, then turn left into the left lane on Ridge Road. Then proceed to drop off in front of the Office/Cafeteria.
K–6 students coming from the south will turn right onto Church Street, then left onto Gaines Street, left onto East Halifax Avenue, and left into the left lane on Ridge Road. Then proceed to drop off in front of the Office/Cafeteria.
Grades 7–12 will take US-1 to East Halifax Avenue, then turn right into the right lane on Ridge Road, turn right at the gate, and proceed to the high school.
Please follow these routes carefully to ensure traffic flows efficiently and students arrive safely.

Afternoon Pick-up Routes

K–1 students (and any siblings in grades 2–6) will follow the K–1 route.
From the North: Turn left onto Lagoon Avenue, right onto Gaines Street, right onto East Halifax Avenue, then left into the left lane on Ridge Road. Then, proceed to pick up in front of the white building.
From the South: Turn right onto Church Street, left onto Gaines Street, left onto East Halifax Avenue, then left into the left lane on Ridge Road. Then, proceed to pick up in front of the white building.
Grades 2–6 students without K–1 siblings will follow the 2–6 route.
From the North: Turn left onto Lagoon Avenue, right onto Gaines Street, right onto East Halifax Avenue, then left into the left lane on Ridge Road. Then proceed to pick up in front of the Office/Cafeteria.
From the South: Turn right onto Church Street, left onto Gaines Street, left onto East Halifax Avenue, then left into the left lane on Ridge Road. Then proceed to pick up in front of the Office/Cafeteria.
Grades 7–8 students (and any siblings in grades 9–12) will take US-1 to East Halifax Avenue, then turn right into the right lane of Ridge Road. Then turn right into the gate and proceed left towards the gym.
Grades 9–12 students without younger siblings in grades 7 or 8 will also take US-1 to East Halifax Avenue and turn right into the right lane of Ridge Road. Then, turn right into the gate and proceed to the high school.
If you have students in both K–6 and 7–12, please arrive at 3:45 PM for afternoon pick-up. Start by picking up your K–6 student(s) first, then exit to US-1 and loop back around to the high school to pick up your 7–12 student(s).
We appreciate your cooperation in following these routes to keep our campus and surrounding roads safe and orderly during dismissal.
What If I Have More Than One Child?
Please follow this guideline: Pick up at the youngest child’s location, at the oldest child’s pick-up time.
Examples:
1st grader and 3rd grader: White Building at 3:15 PM
Kindergartener and 4th grader: White Building at 3:20 PM
2nd grader and 6th grader: Office/Cafeteria at 3:30 PM
Families with Students in Both K–6 and 7–12
If you have children in both age groups, please use this two-step process:
Pick up your K–6 student(s) at their designated time and location.
Loop back around to Ridge Road and proceed to the Gymnasium or High School Loop for your 7–12 student(s) at 3:45 PM.
This system ensures that younger students are supervised and that older students are picked up on time.
Traffic Rules on Ridge Road
To protect our students, staff, and families, please follow these important rules:
Ridge Road is one-way during pick-up and drop-off hours.
No lane changes are permitted at the Ridge Road/East Halifax Ave. intersection.
Follow all posted speed limits and signage.
Watch for oncoming traffic when turning from East Halifax Ave.
Pull forward completely before stopping to drop off or pick up a student. This helps prevent back-ups and keeps the line moving.
Need a Reminder?
