As our graduates get closer to walk the stage, we take one final look back at the memories, accomplishments, milestones, traditions, and moments that made the Class of 2026 so special.
Over the past week, we have celebrated everything from prom and pep rallies to Legacy Walks, firsts in athletics and STEM, and the friendships built along the way. Through it all, this class has left an incredible mark on Burns Sci Tech.
If someone were to create a time capsule for the Class of 2026, what would it include?
Maybe it would hold photos from pep rallies, spirit weeks, prom, and senior sunrise moments. Maybe there would be beach volleyball jerseys, basketballs from the first winning season, SeaPerch parts, AP Capstone presentations, and memories from the very first STEM Banquet.
The Class of 2026 has been a class full of personality, energy, leadership, and unforgettable moments. They helped shape Burns Sci Tech during some of its biggest years of growth and became part of so many firsts that will forever remain part of our school’s history.

Inside this “time capsule,” you would find memories of students dancing at prom during the Roaring 20s themed night, cheering at pep rallies, competing in STEM competitions, creating podcasts, playing under the lights, volunteering at events, laughing in the hallways, and making memories with classmates they have grown up beside for years.
You would find reminders of the traditions they helped build and the programs they helped launch. This class was part of the first graduating AP Capstone class, the first SeaPerch teams, inaugural Beach Volleyball seasons, and the first winning basketball season in Burns history. They helped grow clubs, athletics, STEM opportunities, and school spirit in ways that future students will continue benefiting from for years to come.
But beyond accomplishments and awards, the real heart of this class has always been the people themselves.
This class has shown resilience during challenges, maturity as leaders, kindness toward younger students, and pride in their school community. At the same time, they reminded everyone around them how important it is to have fun, be yourself, and enjoy the moments in between.

As a K–12 school, many of our younger students have grown up watching this class lead by example. They watched them compete, create, volunteer, perform, mentor, and celebrate school traditions. Whether they realized it or not, the Class of 2026 helped define what it means to be a Burns Eagle.
If this class could place one final thing into a time capsule, it would likely be a reminder to future students: take chances, get involved, support each other, and make the most of every moment because the years go by faster than you think.
As you walk across the stage this afternoon, remember that you are leaving behind far more than classrooms and hallways. You are leaving behind memories, friendships, traditions, accomplishments, and a legacy that helped shape Burns Sci Tech into what it is today. The Class of 2026 has been part of so many moments that will forever remain woven into the story of our school.
While this chapter may be coming to a close, the impact you made here will continue long after graduation. Congratulations, Class of 2026. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, the leadership, and the legacy you leave behind. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see how high you soar.
