As we begin our Senior Series leading up to graduation on Saturday, May 23, we are taking a look back at some of the unforgettable moments that helped make this school year so special for the Class of 2026. One of the biggest highlights of the year was our Jr/Sr Prom.
On April 24, our juniors and seniors gathered at the New Smyrna Beach Civic Center for a night filled with celebration, laughter, music, and memories that will last long after graduation. Organized by our SGA, this year’s prom embraced a Roaring 20s theme, bringing vintage glamour, style, and energy to the evening.
The excitement surrounding prom could be felt all week long through an exciting spirit week leading up to the dance. Students fully embraced each themed day, making the campus feel even more fun and festive. Spirit days included fringe and fedoras day, 2016 day, character day, surfers vs bikers, and musician day. One of the standout moments of the week came during musician day when Ms. Grove fully committed to the theme by transforming into Lil Wayne, quickly becoming a favorite topic of conversation across campus.

The week wrapped up with a high-energy pep rally on Friday that brought students together to celebrate the upcoming dance and continue building excitement. The pep rally was filled with school spirit, laughter, music, and anticipation as students counted down the hours until prom night.
When the evening finally arrived, students came dressed to impress and ready to celebrate together. The New Smyrna Beach Civic Center was transformed for the occasion, creating the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable night. From the decorations and music to the dancing and photo opportunities, the event went off without a hitch thanks to the hard work and planning of SGA and everyone involved behind the scenes.
One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the announcement of the 2026 Prom Court. This year’s King nominees included Levie Troupe, Carter Boyer, William Smiley, and Kaiden Bancroft, while the Queen nominees included Athena Weldon, Aleah Aiken, Meah Jean-Lubin, and Isabella Garcia.
As students gathered around the dance floor waiting for the announcement, excitement filled the room. Congratulations to Levie Troupe, who was crowned Prom King, and Athena Weldon, who was crowned Prom Queen.

Throughout the night, students and teachers danced, laughed, and celebrated together, creating memories that will stay with them for years to come. Prom is more than just a dance. It is a milestone, a celebration of friendships, accomplishments, and the journey students have shared throughout high school.
As we begin celebrating the Class of 2026 and counting down to graduation, prom served as the perfect reminder of just how special this group of students truly is.
