Passing the Gavel: Celebrating Leadership and Welcoming New Board Members

At this past Tuesday’s Board Meeting, Burns Science & Technology celebrated an important moment of transition and leadership as Board Chairman Roger Thayer officially passed the gavel to newly elected Chairman Richard Paczkowski.
After serving two terms for a total of six years of dedicated service to both the Board and our school community, Dr. Thayer said goodbye as Board Chairman. During his time serving Burns Sci Tech, his leadership, support, and commitment have helped guide the school through continued growth and success. We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and dedication he has given to our students, staff, and families. While he may be stepping away from his leadership role, we know Dr. Thayer will continue to be a familiar face around campus, volunteering and supporting our students.
We are also excited to announce the newly elected Board officers for the 2026–2027 school year:

Jamie Sulle — Vice Chair
Damian Hall — Treasurer
April Coyle — Secretary

Our volunteer Board of Directors consists of community leaders who are deeply invested in the success of our students and school. Their guidance, leadership, and service have been instrumental in driving growth, strengthening programs, and creating meaningful educational opportunities for our students. We are grateful for their continued dedication to Burns Science & Technology.
We also encourage all families to attend our monthly Board Meetings, which are held in the Literacy Lab at 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
