Burns Sci Tech Flex Schedule: Important Information

At Burns Sci Tech, we have implemented a Flex Schedule that includes a dedicated Monday Flex Day.  Please take a moment to review the details and use the link provided to make your Flex Day selections.

Monday Flex Day Details:

• Mandatory Monday Attendance:

  1. Scholar Archway Students: If your child is enrolled in the Scholar Archway, they must attend classes on Monday. This day is set aside for Experimental Science Sessions or AP Science Labs, offering essential, hands-on learning opportunities.

  2. Skills Development Course: Students who have been placed in the Skills Development Course due to unsatisfactory grades are also required to attend classes on Monday. Please note: Grades will be reviewed by administration throughout the semester to monitor academic standing. Students at risk of failure will be required to continue attending the Skills Development Course until their academic performance is deemed satisfactory.

• Options for All Other Students:

  1. Select a Monday Course: Students who are not in the Scholar Archway or the Skills Development Course have the option to choose a Monday course that aligns with their interests or academic goals.

  2. Elect Not to Attend: Students may choose not to attend school on Monday if they prefer.

• Flexible Monday Schedule:

  • Early Dismissal Option: Students who attend class on Monday may decide to leave after lunch at 1:30 PM.

  • Full-Day Option: Alternatively, students can stay for the full day to participate in a study hall session, providing them with additional time to focus on their studies.

Please note that Monday Flex Courses will begin on Monday, August 19, 2024.
